Instagram Setup

Connect your Instagram account to Orki to let your AI agent handle Direct Messages.

Connecting Instagram​

The setup is simple and takes just a few clicks.

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar
  2. Click Instagram
  3. Click Add Integration

This opens Instagram's login page.

If Not Logged In​

  1. Enter your Instagram credentials
  2. Click Allow to grant Orki access

If Already Logged In​

  1. Make sure you're logged into the correct Instagram account
  2. Click Allow

After clicking Allow, you'll be redirected back to Orki. Your Instagram integration will appear as a card on the page.

No Facebook Page connection is required. You can connect your Instagram account directly.

Managing Your Integration​

Integration Card​

Each Instagram integration shows:

  • Default Agent dropdown - Select which AI agent handles incoming DMs
  • Default Handler dropdown - Select who takes over when using the Instagram app

Default Agent​

The Default Agent setting controls which AI agent responds to messages on this Instagram account.

Select the agent you want to handle incoming DMs. You can change this anytime.

Default Handler​

Since you always have access to the Instagram app on your phone, the Default Handler setting controls what happens when you reply from the app.

Why Use This?​

If you don't set a Default Handler and you reply from your phone, both you AND the AI might respond — causing double messages.

We highly recommend selecting a user to avoid confusion. The AI will automatically stop when that person responds from the app.

What If You Want AI to Resume?​

If the AI stops because a human responded, you can assign the chat back to the AI from the Chats page in Orki.

Stopping the AI (Without Deleting)​

If you want to temporarily stop the AI from responding:

  1. Go to Agents
  2. Find the agent assigned to this Instagram integration
  3. Disable the agent

This stops the AI without deleting your integration.

Deleting an Integration​

To remove an Instagram integration from Orki:

  1. Go to Integrations > Instagram
  2. Click delete on the integration card

This only removes Orki's access to your Instagram. Your Instagram account remains unchanged.

Integration Limits​

The number of Instagram integrations you can add depends on your plan. Check your limits in Settings > Billing.
