Marketing Overview

Orki gives you two ways to send outbound WhatsApp messages to your customers: Broadcasts for quick, ad-hoc sends and Campaigns for planned, large-scale marketing.

Both approaches require approved WhatsApp templates. You cannot send freeform messages to customers who haven't messaged you within the last 24 hours -- this is a Meta policy enforced across all WhatsApp Business accounts.

Broadcasts

Broadcasts are one-time sends of an approved template to a list of recipients. They are designed for quick, ad-hoc communication.

  • Send to up to 200 recipients at once
  • No scheduling -- messages are sent immediately
  • Add recipients manually, via table entry, or by uploading an Excel file
  • Map template variables to customer data or fixed values
  • New customers are automatically created when you send to unknown numbers

Common use cases:

  • Flash sale announcements to a small VIP list
  • Appointment reminders
  • Quick updates to a specific group of customers
  • Testing a template before launching a full campaign

Campaigns

Campaigns are scheduled, large-scale broadcasts that support audience filtering, time slots, rate limiting, and A/B testing.

  • No recipient limit -- send to thousands of customers
  • Target audiences using segments, tags, attributes, and engagement filters
  • Schedule delivery within specific time slots and days of the week
  • A/B test multiple templates to find what works best
  • Retarget non-responders from previous campaigns
  • Track delivery, read, and response rates with built-in analytics

Common use cases:

  • Ramadan or seasonal promotions
  • Product launch announcements
  • Re-engagement campaigns for inactive customers
  • Drip-style messaging across multiple time windows

Getting Started

  1. Create a template -- You need at least one approved WhatsApp template before you can send anything. See WhatsApp Templates.
  2. Send a broadcast -- For a quick send to a small group, see Sending Broadcasts.
  3. Run a campaign -- For scheduled, large-scale sends, see Campaigns.
tip

Start with a broadcast to a small test group before launching a campaign to thousands of customers. This lets you verify your template, variable mappings, and AI agent context before going big.
