Knowledge Base Overview
The Knowledge Base is where you manage all the information your AI agents use to answer customer questions.
Accessing Knowledge Base
Click Knowledge in the sidebar to see all your knowledge bases displayed as cards.
What is a Knowledge Base?
A knowledge base is a collection of FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) that your AI agent uses to provide accurate answers. These FAQs can be generated from:
- Websites - Crawl your website to extract information
- Documents - Upload PDFs, Word docs, and other files
- Instagram - Import content from your Instagram profile
- Manual input - Add questions and answers directly
Why Multiple Knowledge Bases?
You can create multiple knowledge bases to organize your information. This is useful for:
Easy Management
Group related information together. For example:
- Policies KB - Return policy, shipping policy, privacy policy
- Products KB - Product details and specifications
- Promotions KB - Current sales and offers
This makes it easy to update or delete a specific set of information without affecting others.
Different Agents, Different Knowledge
Assign different knowledge bases to different agents. This is especially helpful when you have:
- Multiple stores - A store in Saudi and a store in Oman with different policies
- Different departments - Sales agent needs product info, support agent needs troubleshooting guides
- Conflicting data - Different pricing or availability for different regions
Keep It Simple
If you're just getting started, you can put all your data in a single knowledge base. You can always reorganize later as your needs grow.
Creating a Knowledge Base
- Click Knowledge in the sidebar
- Click the Add button
- Enter a name for your knowledge base
- Start adding content (FAQs, websites, documents, or Instagram)
Knowledge Base Limits
The number of knowledge bases you can create depends on your plan. Check your limits in Settings > Billing.
Inside a Knowledge Base
Click on any knowledge base card to open it. You'll see several tabs:
